FILM IN INDONESIA



 Film Indonesia has a long history and had become king in   his own country in the 1980, when the film Indonesia dominate local    cinemas. The films are well known at the time, among others, notes the Boy, Blok M and many other films. Young starsare known at the time, among others Onky Alexander, Meriam Bellina, Nike Ardilla,Paramitha Rusady.

In those years the Indonesian Film Festival is held annually to reward insan filmIndonesia at that time. But for one reason or another Indonesian film more sag inthe late '90s that made almost all Indonesian films dwell in the themes for adults. At that time Indonesia was not the film to host again in his own country. The films from Hollywood and Hong Kong has won the position.

it lasted until the beginning of a new century, emerging adventure films, played by Sherina Munaf, a talented singer Indonesia. This film is actually a moviemusical that cater to children. Riri Riza and Mira Lesmana who is behind the scenes work to make this film a milestone in the revival of the Indonesian film. Long queues at the cinema for a month or more indicates the success of commercialfilms.


                               HISTORY 

The first film made in Indonesia is the first silent film in1926 entitled " LOETOENG KASAROENG" and made by Ducth director  G. Kruger  and L. Heuveldrop. When the film was made and released , the Indoneisan state has not been there and is still the ducth East Indies, the colonies of the kingdom of the Netherlands. This film was made , supported by local the NV Film company in Bandung and appears the first time on Decamber 31, 1926 in Elite and Majestic Theaters, Bandung.
